Hilarious Animals Failing In The War Against Furniture
We all know how furniture can be a little finicky. Fold up chairs will crush us, couch cushions will eat us alive, and we’re constantly missing chairs completely to fall on our behinds. Take solace in the fact that us humans are not alone in the war against furniture. Animals are right there with us, if not fighting an even larger battle as they often don’t know what the furniture’s purpose even is (and all without opposable thumbs!). It is miraculous that they survive at all in a house full of objects and crevices that are so inviting yet so very capable of turning on you at any minute.
To lighten your day and console your worries about who might still remember that party when you sat on that chair and you toppled over backwards, we bring you a collection of hilarious animals failing in their own war against furniture. They just can’t seem to catch a break, especially #25.

One man’s trash is another man’s kitty. This little guy must have found something very interesting in this can and now is in quite the predicament.
This thirsty cat is so regretting his spur-of-the-moment decision to help himself to a bottle of water.
Sigh. Ever have one of those days when even trying to sit on a couch turns into a big, fat fail.
What’s not to love about a Christmas tree if you’re a cat? It’s like your own personal climbing post adorned with many fun, dangling things to play with. Then it turns on you, and you find yourself stuck in a large, spiky, bush of death. “Little full…Lots of sap!”
It probably took a lot of work for this cat to get his head into this position. Unfortunately, it’s probably going to take even more work to get him free. “Pleeez send help!”
“Okay. Let me explain. This chair looked a lot like my hay feeder, so I thought I’d just stick my head through it to see if I’d find any food.”
Whoops! Time to get this pup a new doogie door. He’s obviously outgrown this one!
It’s hard to look dignified when you’ve got a silly chair wrapped around your neck. But this sweetie is trying very hard to pretend this isn’t happening right now. Hopefully the only thing bruised will be his ego after this mess is straightened out.
“Oh, very funny, everyone! Look, human, instead of taking my picture to post on the Internet, why not give me a hand and get me out of this water can?” It’s a wonder how this cat even managed to get himself in such a small hole.
Ever run into a screen door? This silly pup not only ran into one, he ran through it — well, at least his head did.
Everyone always has that one friend at the Christmas party who just has to go and make a fool of themselves.
“I iz a roly poly, an upside down fat cat with short legs. But I iz also so very cute. Don’t youz agree?”
To ferrets, a guitar looks like a perfectly fine place for a quick little nap. Unfortunately, their owners rarely agree. If only he could play “Locked up, they won’t let me out,” from the inside.
It’s as if this cat has just broken free and taken his first gulp of fresh air after being trapped by these evil blinds.
So while this doesn’t look like the most comfortable position for sleeping, we still have to give this dog extra points for creativity.
“What am I doing? Uh, not much. Just hanging around. But if you’re free and want to come over, I could use a hand getting down from here.”
“Special Delivery!”
This dog just needed some permanent shade as he walks around under the blistering sun. Or, at least, that’s what he’s telling everyone. Looks cool, man. You do you!
This bag is going to be a sack of paper-towel confetti before you know it.
Everyone thinks it’s just great being a kitten. And then you get stuck in a chair, and suddenly it’s not as wonderful as everyone makes it out to be.
This dog does not understand why his humans like these hammocks. They seem to only offer a constricted way to stand. Meanwhile, his friend is just embarrassed to be associated with him.
“Squirrels! I see squirrels! If only someone would let me out of here so I can chase those squirrels!”
“Ack! No one told me that you owned a cat-eating sofa! Please help me before it’s too late!”
Sadly, this poor cat was not as lucky as the last. Another evil, cat-eating sofa has claimed its victim. Someone please warn the rest of the felines in the world before it’s too late!
Hmm, this cat looks a lot like a bobcat. Until we know for sure, we’re probably not going to volunteer to be part of the team to set him free.”
This adorable pooch is making his case for why his family doesn’t need a machine to clean their dirty dishes. He is 100% committed to licking that plate.
When your dog isn’t quite as slender as your cat but still tries to use the cat’s door to get into the house. The cats make it look so effortless.
Although this cute pup always tries his hardest, it has still never won a single game of hide and go seek.
Apparently the smell of dirty diapers was just too much for this pup to resist. And now he must forever wear the lid of shame.
There was absolutely no stopping this cat who was determined to get into his house. Perhaps next time, his humans will answer the door.

Although it looks like a tight fit for us, these two kitties appear purr-fectly content to be stuffed in the bowels of this sofa…or perhaps they are just purr-fectly stuck and can’t escape.
We’re sure this dog has a good explanation for why his head is stuck in a mattress. But then, again, maybe not. As the score sits, mattress pad – 1, Dog – 0.
This young bull elk does not look happy about his new antler decor. Hammocks are not something to mess with. he might have just learned the hard way.
This pup chewed a hole in her human’s couch and then tried to escape through it. Unfortunately for her, she was just a bit too “husky” to make it all the way out.
Let’s hope this pup’s sweet dreams don’t end with a rude awakening. In the meantime, let’s admire his ability to defy gravity while asleep. This bed might just get the best of him after all.

This Chihuahua was bound and determined not to let a simple thing like a baby gate get in his way. Although, we’re pretty sure this is not how he planned his actual escape.
This dog has found quite the awkward position to watch television in. It doesn’t look very comfortable to us, but he seems quite content. If you don’t fit on it, fit to it. That’s how the saying goes, right?
