Animals That Pass Out in the Strangest Sleeping Positions

If you’ve been the proud owner of a pet, then you know all too well the hilarious positions that they can get themselves into when they’re fast asleep. You probably have somewhere approaching 1,000 pictures of them in said positions…ya know, the ones you show all your friends and family until they not so discreetly start shifting their attention to someone anyone else in the room. We’ve all been there and yes, it always is different when it’s our own pet because, after all, they are the most funny and interesting creatures in all the land. Just ask us!

We’ve compiled a hysterical series of pictures showing animals that are so tired, that they had to pass out in the the strangest sleeping positions and locations. All of them are good but #28 had us laughing out loud.

It looks like someone told this dog he was fit as a fiddle, and he thought they said to go fit like a fiddle. Seems like an honest mistake to us!

This little corgi puppy had way too long of a day and needed some serious shut eye. We’re wondering if he’s dreaming about performing the most perfect pencil dive. If so… nailed it!

Meowmix is sick and tired of her hooman playing with his light box. She is mainly tired, though. This sleeping position should do the trick and cease all light box activities at once.

Gravity really makes this cute boy smile! While this doesn’t look very comfortable to us, this dog seems very happy with his awkward sleeping position.Are those his back feet by his shoulders? Hmmmm

Introducing the all-in-one laundry drying and cat sleeping rack. This brings a whole new meaning to the term fluff and fold! I can’t imagine the sleeping lines this cat is going to have when he wakes up.

It’s like when you fall but you don’t have enough time to put your hands in front of your face so you just crater into the ground and then just stay there and pretend you’re invisible. We know the feeling, little guy!

Perhaps, this dog had the intention of getting off the couch to go take a nap on his doggie bed but in the middle of it, he thought, “ehhhh, better not. This seems sufficient.” Or perhaps, he might have gotten himself a tad stuck. Life isn’t easy when you’re so low to the ground!

This contortionist deserves to be in the circus! Or maybe, she’s just taking her yoga game really really seriously.

This cutie pie is all buckled up and ready to go…for a long nap. We are loving the owner’s ability to take “safety first” to a whole new level. Click it or ticket, dontchya know!

He was napping next to his pal on the couch when he saw a big, comfy pillow on the floor. The obvious next move was clearly the result of what you see here. Head on pillow, arse on couch.

When Bae gets home from the club and passes out in an extra large pizza.

Sometimes you have to catch your nap wherever you can, even if it’s on this uncomfortable-looking metal window grate.

Big dog, small space? No problem for this golden retriever who thinks this tight space is just right for his nappy time.

This little kitty thought this radiator would be just the purr-fect place to take a nice cat nap. Look how he straddles the pipe and snuggles up into his new favorite little nook.

We’re liking the whole sitting position while laying down thing that this dog has seemed to have perfected. We have to admit, it is easy to fall asleep in strange positions on road trips. Cars will do that to you.

“If I could just squeeze my body through this opening, I’ll feel safe…oh, my…that was way too much work. I’m just going to take a quick napper doodle and be back at it in now time.”

This sweet cat maybe used to fit in small boxes like this and was just trying to prove it to himself that he still could. Although he can no longer fit inside the box, he is fitting through the box quite nicely. So nicely, that he thought it sufficient for an afternoon nap spot. Experiment concluded.

Where there’s a will, there’s a way. This clever pup found a very inventive and very unusual way to fall asleep as a couch-bridge.

Hmmm, has this little kitty been hitting the catnip a little too hard? Or maybe he just realized that tomorrow’s Monday… Either way, we think his face-plant sleeping position is really quite adorable.

So much food, this kitty didn’t know what to do with himself so he decided to sleep on it. When he wakes up, he’ll have a better plan for devouring the rest.

No bed? No problem for this clever basset hound who turned two flower pots into his own cool crib.

This adorably odd duo seem to enjoy each other’s company so much that they even sleep together. The hound is even willing to share his ear as a blanket for the cold little kitten and in return, he gets lulled to sleep by the sweet purr of a new baby kitten. Perfect symbiosis.

We’re not sure what kind of prank this kitten was trying to pull but he must have been at it all night since he slept in the copier machine…again. Crazy Cat Lou, always willing to do whatever it takes for a laugh. Get back to work, kitty!

Ever have one of those days when you’re so tired that you’re sure you could fall out of bed and land on your head and still not wake up? Well, then you can probably relate to this poor pup.

The balance this kitty has while snoozing is quite impressive. Perhaps, he kitty was put in charge of watching for “cat” burglars. Please don’t tell anybody, but it looks like he may have fallen asleep on the job.

Who can ever resist catching a few rays? Obviously not this cute kitty who appears to be happily working on his tan! He looks so relaxed, he’s making us feel rather drowsy all the sudden.

We all have that friend who always takes the biggest and the best for themselves, even when it makes no sense. Well, at least, this wolfhound’s rear-end is comfortable. It’s pretty clear who the boss is around this establishment.

Some cats love to sleep in the most precarious positions. Apparently, this kitty thinks that the barbecue is perfect for an afternoon siesta. We thought cats liked to be clean? This one didn’t get that gene.

Perhaps this little cat’s chiropractor suggested stretching would be good for her back. Or perhaps, she was a bat in her former life. All we know is that this sleeping position certainly takes some mad skill!

Hmm, we’ve heard of gutter rats. But this is the first gutter cat we’ve ever seen.

How sweet is this pup? He’s obviously not comfortable, but he knows he can’t move without disturbing his sleeping buddy.

Lie on the grass? Not this baby horse! Why get dirty when you can use your mama for a nice soft bed instead?

And now we’ve found a real life Puss in Boots. Really, though, a darling kitten taking a snooze in some shoes — it can’t get much cuter than that, can it?

This cat looks very peaceful. But we’re not surprised, considering that this feline has its very own pillow/security guard. They fit together like two adorable puzzle pieces.

Is it a slinky? Or is it a cat? Whatever this sleeping creature is, it appears to have somehow misplaced all of its bones.

“Hey, mom, can I get a new house?” This poor hound seems to have outgrown his living quarters. Maybe he’s dreamin’ about the “glory days.”

Doggy love in a glove! This picture is a true homerun, combining two of America’s favorite things — baseball and a sweet little puppy. We’re guessing that this little dog being a Boston terrier is probably a Red Sox fan.

Talk about your odd couple! These two make a strange but simply adorable pair of love birds — er, love cats… we mean love dogs.. forget it, let’s just say they’re adorable.

Would it be corny to say that this is the gorilla of my dreams? Hope not. Because this little sleeping cutie has really stolen our hearts.

This super cute pup makes us nervous with his gravity-defying sleeping habits. Hopefully, he won’t be waking up with a thud.

“Waiter, there’s a hair in my glass! Oh, wait, it’s actually a whole kitten.” Perhaps this is a cat-bernet sauvignon. How did this little kitten even get into the glass? Kittens must have 0 bones.

Snow problem! When you’re wearing a fluffy white coat, even sleeping on the snow is like taking a nap on a big soft bed.

Everybody loves stuffed animals. Even baby bats. And just like a human baby, this little bat doesn’t want to go beddy-bye without his stuffed best friend.

I spy something white! An all-in-one bed and a bath. This white cat is just hoping no one is going to turn the faucet on her comfy new bed, which wouldn’t be hard considering how camouflage she is.

A squirrel in a curl — this is why it’s always a good idea to check your cup before pouring coffee in it!

We don’t think any creature on this planet could look more relaxed than this sloth doing his sloth thing. So totally chill!

Trouble and kittens sometimes go hand and hand. This kitty’s human mom must have put her in this corner to think about some misdeed, and the poor little fluff muffin just couldn’t stay awake.

For this little donkey, having a stuffy makes it so much easier to go night-night.

So this is what happens when two squirrels try to fit into a bird-size house. “What is this a center for ants? It has to be at least three times bigger than this.” Name that movie!

We just can’t believe how paws-i-tively adorable these two sleeping baby bunnies are!

Although we don’t think this tree looks very comfortable, this koala certainly looks like he’s enjoying a very nice nap. He might be having a strange dream though, as seen by his wide hands and feet. If only he could tell us!

It’s a fox sleeping in a flower box. We think that totally rocks!

This silly little hamster appears to have fallen asleep in the middle of a failed attempt at a jail break…or perhaps he’s stuck? Oh, to be young, slim and agile again!

This is what happens when your human mom and dad refuse to believe that you’re no longer a kitten and refuse to buy you a big cat bed. On a real note, how did this cat twist his neck into this position? Wild.

Talk about camouflage. This cutie almost blends in with the sofa and pillows. Only her little paws and black nose give her away.

Have you ever fallen asleep doing a downward dog in yoga? Well, this dog apparently did! After the neck pain he will undoubtedly feel upon wakening, we don’t think he will recommend it.

You can almost hear this naughty little feline taunting this pup with, “Cats rule, dogs drool” as he takes over his big comfy bed. It’s obvious who’s the top dog in this household — and it’s not the dog.

There are some days when a purse is more than a handbag. Sometimes, it also doubles as a real comfortable place to take a nap.

When you’re all tuckered out, it’s nice to have a buddy to nap with. Just ask these two baby goats who are enjoying a blissful little snooze together.
